All that nature has great, all that is pleasant, all that is terrible, can be compared to Etna, and Etna cannot be compared to anything.

The territory of Etna is characterized by having very varied landscapes. This depends, in addition to the altitude, on the different compactness of the soil due to the lava flows that follow one another over time, as well as on the variations in temperatures and rainfall. Starting from the lower floors, there are in fact vast countryside, vineyards and citrus groves. Around and above 2,000 meters there are dense woods of chestnut and oak trees. Between 2,450 and 3,000 metres, the landscape becomes barren, desert-like and almost lunar. In fact, at this altitude, no life form could survive.

Once you visit, it will change you forever. Etna, after having visited it, binds you to itself forever. However far you may go and to whichever country you may return, its so different landscapes, its precious colors and its great energy will remain forever within you. It gives you a sense of helplessness and stillness, a sense of peace with the world

The tour start with the Pick up in your accommodation aboard a luxury mercedes v class minivan with an English speaking driver.
From there you will continue towards Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe, you will arrive at the Sapienza refuge at 2000m, from there you will visit the Silvestri Craters with a short and easy trek, then you can decide whether to take the cable car up to 2900m at a cost extra of 80 euros per person with a duration of about 2.30 h. Afterwards you will continue with the driver towards Oro d’Etna, the home of honey and you will see the lava flow of 1992. Finally the driver will take you back to the pick up point.
